Today I will walk the path my soul guides me,
I will breathe in the air and smell the nature it holds.
The wind will caress my face with a gentle breeze
and I will allow the sun to enrich my body with warmth.
I will trust in my connection with God,
today, tomorrow and always, I will.

- I am a vibrant woman embracing and living life during my Forty something years all while managing HIV/AIDS. I live in rural America where HIV is not the main topic discussed at the dinner table. In fact, it is so taboo that it isn't discussed at all. The jokes, put downs and verbal snarls of assumptions which fly out of the mouths of people as if they know what they are talking about is what I hope to change with this blog. So, my coming out has happened everywhere except in my home community. Not because I care if people know I live with a chronic disease as do many of the people that walk the streets of our town. It is because the disease I live with comes with such strong stigma, ridicule and prejudice that I can not expose those closest to me to that kind of inhumane hostility, judgement and hatred that stems from the labeling of living with HIV/AIDS, regardless of how it is acquired. I am the founder of a nonprofit clothing closet, Christine's Closet which helps people in transition to improve and empower their lives by projecting a positive appearance.

Moments like this are wonderful. But this moments are passing so fast, that I cant hold them, not even in my thoughts. It is very nice that you had this feelings and found the time and will to write it down.
